well then
Seems I don't have much to say for myself. I've just been working, knitting, and chilling out with Buttons and my family. Mark arrives in...18 days. Wahay! Very excited.
I've taken a slight hiatus from knitting the kiri shawl, in favor of making a bag. I finished it last night and I'll take some before-and-after pics of the felting. It's kinda cute...but I'm not sure how secure the strap is. I need to find a cute little toggle button for the front of it, too. I'm thinking I'll sew that on after it's felted because otherwise, I'll never get it in the right place if I try to do it before. I know the yarn will felt ok because I did a test swatch, but I hand-felted the tester and I'm going to just toss the bag itself into the washing machine. I think if anything, it will take longer in the washer because I'm a pretty aggressive hand-felter. Plus I may have also had a couple beers at the time. *hic* ;)
The weather has been ridiculously beautiful the last few days...highs in the lower 80's, lows in the low 50's...so perfect! But it's supposed to be hotter than Hades this weekend while I'm home, of course. I have some more cleaning projects to get done before Mark shows up...that should be fun when it's 900 degrees on Saturday.
Anyway...that's my boring life right now. Basically just trying to get stuff done and out of the way so that I can spend time with Mark while he's here.

Will he be here permenantly now, or is this a visit?
Bring on the heat! I hate the cold :-) Guess I should work on knitting myself a snowsuit.
Missed you at knit night, I'm on my first set of socks :-)
